June 23, 2011 source: Sustainable Industries' Top 10 Building Products
Today, Adura Technologies announced that award-winning independent news source Sustainable Industries named Adura's wireless lighting control system as one of its sixth annual 2011 Top 10 green Building Products award winners. Sustainable Industries' Top 10 Green Building Products guide is an annual digital and print publication profiling industry-leading green building products selected by a panel of expert judges and Sustainable Industries' editorial team.
Adura's wireless lighting control system was selected from more than 100 entries based on environmental performance, scalability/market impact, innovativeness, design aesthetic, value and compatibility with the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED rating system. Adura Technologies provides wireless lighting and energy controls for the retrofit, remodel and new construction building industry.
“We are honored to receive the Top Green Building award,” said Adura Technologies' CEO Mark Golan. “With lighting now representing one-third or more of the total energy use in most commercial buildings, Adura's distributed lighting controls help building owners save energy being wasted on inefficient lighting and also reduce costs and carbon emissions.”
The winners were announced today in a web conference featuring Founding Editor and Publisher Brian Back and members of the judges' panel, presented live from the West Coast Green Salon at PCBC 2011, a premier green building conference.
For the first time, the Top 10 winners will be presented on Sustainable Industries' new microsite, at www.top10greenbuildingproducts.com, which includes 3D models of each product designed by San Francisco's Igloo Studios. Adura will also be highlighted in the July/August issue of Sustainable Industries magazine.
